LONDON, UK – Travelport, the global travel technology company driving bookings for millions of travelers worldwide, today announced the formal launch of Travelport TripServices, its modern, cloud-native API platform and the engine powering the next generation of travel experiences. The launch marks a defining step in Travelport’s transformation into an AI-ready travel technology company.
Where legacy travel systems depend on fragmented sources and cryptic-based workflows, Travelport TripServices normalises and curates content across multiple sources from a single connection, intelligently surfacing the best options and orchestrating complex booking workflows within the platform that have historically consumed engineering time. All of this makes building and maintaining travel experiences simpler; meaning a slicker traveler experience.
The platform is already live with Travelport’s growing partner base. Content for air, hotel and ancillary services flows through Travelport TripServices today, with the platform’s intelligent content curation technology continuously improving results across search, ranking, pricing and fulfilment.
“
Travelport was built on the principle that complexity should sit with us, not with our customers.”
John Mangelaars, Chief Executive Officer at Travelport
“Travelport TripServices is the fullest expression of that principle yet. We have taken decades of travel retailing knowledge and rebuilt it as a modern AI-ready platform, one that learns, adapts and improves continuously. For our partners, this means better content, smarter recommendations and a level of retailing capability and scale that simply was not possible before. For Travelport, it is the platform on which we will grow,” said John Mangelaars, Chief Executive Officer, Travelport.
At the core of Travelport TripServices is embedded orchestration that works across content and servicing. Machine learning models rank content dynamically, surfacing the offers most relevant for the trip rather than returning enormous undifferentiated or incompatible lists. Travelport has invested heavily in expanding Travelport TripServices’ servicing capabilities over the past 18 months, equipping agencies with a broader set of tools to manage changes, disruptions and cancellations so they spend less time on manual processes.
“Travelport TripServices was designed from the start to work with AI, not around it,” said Andrew Jordan, Chief Product and Technology Officer, Travelport. “AI agents need clean, structured, normalised data and deterministic APIs to operate effectively. That is what Travelport TripServices provides.”
“
As agentic travel workflows move from concept to reality, Travelport TripServices gives builders the foundation they need: an API platform that behaves predictably, surfaces the right content and handles the complexity of travel fulfilment automatically. We built this for the world that is coming, not the one we are leaving behind.”
Andrew Jordan, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Travelport
TripServices is also the platform through which Travelport’s recently announced collaboration with Cognizant and Anthropic takes effect. That partnership brings deeper AI capability into the workflows and platform features travel builders rely on, reducing manual work, improving decisions and delivering more relevant traveler experiences.
The formal launch of Travelport TripServices comes as Travelport accelerates its next phase of growth, underpinned by a $50 million strategic investment. The company has set out a clear ambition: to be the platform of choice for the modern travel builders and sellers, competing not on legacy infrastructure but on the intelligence, experience and simplicity of its technology. Travelport TripServices is the platform through which that ambition is delivered.
The company is already in advanced discussions with a number of major agency groups and travel management companies on expanded Travelport TripServices deployments, with further announcements expected later in 2026.
